Tuesday's assignment,

Task 1:

I hope that everyone had fun yesterday on our field trip. Let’s reflect here a bit!
Write one paragraph as a reflection to our ROM field trip yesterday and try to include the following thoughts:

  • Why did you join this trip?
  • What did you like the most?
  • What was the  one thing that was completely new to you?
  • What was/were the thing(s) that you did not like?
  • Would you like to go there again? Why?
  • How this trip has added to your “Canadian experience,” knowledge, learning … etc.

I liked the roof which was constructed  from thousands of sheets of imported Venetian glass, cut into more than a million tiny colored squares. Although its interesting  gold background was amusing.I liked too that the museum included many images from different cultures throughout history.

It Represented the early cultures of the Americas.

So I liked there the:

  • Eagle from a northwest coast crest pole
  • Inca thunder god, holding snakes representing bolts of lightning
  • And above all I liked the:

  • Symbols of classical cultures of the Mediterranean for example:
  • Egyptian falcon
  • Mythical Greek sea-horse
  • and in general I liked every piece in the museum and I hope to visite it again some time

  • Magical elephant, IndiaHeraldic griffin of Gothic artEgyptian “pylon”, entrance to a temple complex
